Synopsis:

Building on European musical heritage and folk traditions, Musika Peripherika is an innovative European audio-visual and music project documenting the creative processes via field recording sessions filmed across Europe – from the Sami in the North to the Mediterranean south to Eastern Europe. 

This co-production between several large institutions such as Nord University, AMAEI, BeActive Entertainment and Bando à Parte, intends several audiovisual pieces to complement the music approach of the project. 

During the 11 episodes, 10 focusing on individual artists and 1 “extra” focusing on the MESTURA Project, tensions between centralism, colonialism, music making and resistance will emerge to form documentaries that comment on far more than just music.
